I recommend making your own wedding gift if possible, but realize this doesn’t have to mean something that looks tacky or especially homemade.

My best friend and her husband eloped a couple years ago. They got married next to a river in a park, and had the officiant take pictures. When they got home, I called her husband and asked him to email me the pictures without her knowing about it. I love to scrapbook, and I made them a scrapbook of their wedding. I played around with Photoshop and did some cool stuff to their pictures, and spent a Saturday putting together their book. My friend was thrilled when I gave it to her, and they put it on display during the reception/party that they had later that summer.
